My upgrade list

For starters, this is merely my upgrade list. I’m more interested in what you want. So kick these around and let me know what you think, and what else you would like to see. I encourage you to use the Feedback link on the side to share your ideas and others can vote on them and give their own feedback.

My list:

  • The UI is VERY basic. Expect this to improve. But I’m more concerned about making everything work solid and great, and they perhaps add little blue birdies.
  • Finish forgotten username/password page
  • Create way to delete account
  • Opt in spam filtering - this means a couple of things.
    • First, I’m setting up some ratios to help you make your decision on where to follow someone back or not. If your tolerances are too low, you can opt out of ever seeing those, or digest them to check out later.
    • Second this means if you get a DM spam, you can reply to that with the word spam, it doesn’t go to the person, but I capture it and flag them. I’m thinking if a user gets three spam flags, then those that opt in will not receive DMs or follows from that user.
    • Add a calculator to the new follower email to calculation how long that user has been on Twitter.
  • Speaking of digests. This is phase 2 of sendVee, and upon completion will probably be Beta. You will have the choice to digest your follows and your DMs and choose how often you receive those. I’m bulding in the ultimate in flexibility.
  • Decide who you want to recieve DMs from in real time, everyone else can be digested.
  • The standard Qwitter type service, but more digested. You can get a daily notification of how many followers you gaines, how many you lost, and who they are.
  • In addition to that, you will be able to decide which followers, that should they decide to unfollow you, you will automatically unfollow them. The ones you want to know what they are tweeting regardless of if they follow you, they are safe.
  • Group DMs. Have a private conversation between as many of you at once as you choose.
  • I had it built in that when you recieve a new follower email, the background image, which often contains valuable information, was in the email, but when I realized gMail doesn’t support this, I yanked it and deleted the code. I really like that functionality, and there are more mail carriers that gMail, so I’m going to add it back in as an option if you have mail that can see background images.
  • Scheduled tweets. I’m not sure the purpose of these, but others do it, and it would take about 10 minutes to code, so I’ll add it in there.
  • Keyword tracking. Remember the good old days when you could track keywords on your phone? Well, some version of that is coming back with Sendvee.
  • OAuth - This is what Twitter is going to use to allow applications like sendVee to be verified by you, so you won’t have to give me your Twitter password. It’s not ready yet, but when it is, I’ll be all over it.
  • If you recieve a DM, and you decide you don’t want to follow this person anymore, just reply “unfollow” or something like that, sendVee will capture that and unfollow them for you.
  • Easily choose to use your primary acount email for your twitter account. (you would have to be in sendVee to know what I mean) :)
  • Post to multiple accounts or any of your accounts  from sendVee.com and from email.
  • And many many more. I have another sheet around here somewhere, but it’s buried in my database and code schematics. What do you think? What else would you like to see?
